VIDEO: Profile of Christina Freibott
Tower Hill field hockey player Christina Freibott is this week's WDEL Female High School Athlete of the Week.
Freibott had 3 goals and 3 assists in wins over Tatnall and St. Andrews last week.
Christina says the reason the Hillers are succesful comes down to depth.
"A combination of chemistry year after year. We're friends with everyone on the team. We have good skills, we work well together, and great coaches. It helps us get where we need to be."
The field hockey tournament promises to be wide open this year, what's the mindset of Tower Hill?
"We've been taking it game-by-game. Not looking forward or backwards at anything we didn't like at the past. That's what we're going to do in the tournament is take it game-by-game."
In addition to field hockey, Christina won the state diving championship her freshman year. Which sport does she love more?
:I absolutely love field hockey, I like diving, but absolutely love the team aspect of hockey, it's my favorite."
Christina is hoping to take her field hockey exploits to Columbia next year, and is considering being an Orthopedic Surgeon in the future.
"I see so many people with injuries I could help with prevention and then helping the injury in terms of sports."
