Cape's Frederick - WDEL Female HS Athlete of the Week

Cape Henlopen's Anna Frederick is this week's WDEL Female High School Athlete of the Week.
Anna scored three goals in every game last week and also tallied four assists for Cape.
After the 19-6 victory against Charter, Anna told WDEL about the two victories on Tuesday and Thursday.
"Worcester was a big game for us so today we're still trying to pick it up a little bit because we're tired," said Frederick of the Tuesday 9-6 win. "The game went pretty much as expected. was pretty good."
Anna has started on varsity since freshman year, but this team will be the most memorable.
"This is probably the best we've ever been since I've been here, and it's a lot of fun," she said.
Anna is one of three seniors on an 11-1 Vikings team, but she believes the young squad is capable of carrying their own weight.
"It's not necessary to really be a leader because everyone already listens so well and everyone respects each other a lot," said the senior captain.
Although Anna strives on shooting goals, she enjoys a key aspect in the game of lacrosse.
"I actually like the transition in the middle, that's my favorite part of the game," she said.
With three more games left in the regular season, Anna foresees another successful tournament run.
"We're working hard again and we're continuing to do as well as we have been in the past," said Frederick, who hopes to help Cape win their fifth straight state title.
The senior who will travel to Temple in the fall to continue her lacrosse career enjoys contemporary issues in the classroom.
"It's what's happening now, and I like to debate," said Frederick.
