The senior ran for a 52-yard touchdown to open the Spartans' 33-13 victory over Sussex Central last Friday.
T.J. also plays defense where the Spartans have pitched two shutouts, and he credits assistant coach Lee Sibley for the zeroes.
"Coach Sibs goes over the plays, and gets everything right during practice before every week so we know what we're doing."
The Spartans are 3-0, but T.J. says they are motivated by last year's three losses.
"Some letdown games, like losing to Sallies last year. It makes us a lot more hungry to win more games and do a lot better."
T.J. says he'd like to play college football, and says his parents have helped guide a potential career choice.
"I would like to be an air traffic controller, like my dad. Getting to control planes and tell them which way to go and keep people safe while helping out."
