Diversity in License Plates in Delaware

Spring is in the air, and in addition to the invigorating weather, budding blossoms, the return of butterflies, and so much more... as a license-plate collector, I welcome the chance to see more out-of-state vehicles with different license plates.

But, in a parking lot along Route 40 in Bear a couple of weekends ago, I saw two parked cars bearing plates you seldom see in Delaware: Alaska's blue and yellow plate, and the license plate of Chihuahua, the Mexican border state. License plates from the Mexican states used to be rather plain, but in recent years, like many U.S. plates, they've gotten more colorful.
