Beer-Drinker-in-Chief a Boost for Beer during Recession?

Some folks in the beer industry believe it doesn't hurt the industry to have a President known to publicly consume the suds on occasion.

In fact, they fervently hope folks "moving down" from expensive wines and mixed drinks during a recession may very well settle on beer.

Unfortunately for those of us who relish premium microbrews, however, I doubt we'll see this President downing some rare, exotic brew. Remember how critics branded Mr. Obama "elitist" for talking about arugula in Iowa?

Premium microbrews cheaper than popular wines table wines and mixed drinks? Re-check your math. Not the per ounce price but the price per drink (12 ounces for beer v five ounces for wine).

The article said W didn't drink beer. They should have added "any more." He is an alcoholic with arrests for intoxication and DWI (like his daughter).
