Who Should Entertain at 2011 Superbowl?

I'm tired o the old rockers... The Who, Springsteen, Prince, etc. Some listeners say the problem is new young groups might do something trashy. Maybe. Janet Jackson wasn't "new" when tried to revive her career by baring herself and Justin Timberlake was a relatively young performer at the time. Prince wasn't new or young when he got trashy, either. A good contract with huge financial penalties for violating any morality clause they'd like to craft could help with that.

You nominate or vote for performers here and I'll tally it up & send the suggestion to the producers. Who knows? Maybe they'll respond!

Linda: George Clinton & Bootsy Collins with P-Funk!

Keith: ABBA

Henry: Chicago & Beach Boys with University Band

Leslie: Michael W. Smith (I'd add Switchfoot, Jars of Clay and another caller added Amy Grant and Vince Gill)

Amy: Reba McEntire (New Album that debuted higher than any of her previous hit albums and a #1 song!)

Ed: Bon Jovi

John: Lady Gaga dancing to the Doobie Brothers

Chris: Don Henley (I'd want Joe Walsh there, too)

Mark: It's Dallas! Reba + Toby Keith + Brad Paisley + Carrie Underwood! What a show!

Great musician, kid-friendly (he did the Curious George soundtrack & it's aweswome) and he surfs.

I think a retrospect of 45 years should showcase entertainers over that period...BeeGees, Chicago, ABBA, Elton John...a good 1/2 hour show.

Bring back the College Marching Bands!

I agree with Scott! Marching Bands are great. They remind me of traditional football halftime entertainment.
