Still time to register for DX'ers mid-winter conference
If you've tuned around the dials over the years - seeking out distant shortwave, or even A.M. (medium-wave), F.M., or T.V. signals - you're a DX'er ("D" stands for "distance", "X" stands for the unknown!).
You still have time to register for the upcoming "SWL Fest" in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, Friday, March 5th---Saturday, March 6th...
Although members of the North American Shortwave Association (NASWA) put together this conference each year, attendees include not only long-distance listeners on shortwave, A.M., F.M., and T.V., but scanning aficionados, satellite T.V. devotees, amateur radio operators, some professional broadcasters, even pirate broadcasters.
Whether a veteran radio operator or a novice, you'll find people who can bring you up to the next level.

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in. The sense of wanting to help, but not knowing how or where, is something a lot of us are going through.
