Of course, regardless of what you think of it, it IS a very big deal.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs made no effort to deny the expletive. Gibbs tweeted: "And yes, Mr. Vice President, you're right."
More than his OTHER kinds of gaffes, I always thought Joe Biden's use of such language might get him into trouble, frankly, during his Presidential run(s).
Mr. Biden DOES seem to employ such language at public events more than some other politicians I've covered over the years.
(As Vice-President, just over a year ago - March 13, 2009 - the Veep got into trouble when an open microphone caught Mr. Biden exclaim, "Give me a f%#*ing break". That was in response to a former Senate colleague addressing the Veep as "Mr. Vice-President" at an event at Union Station touting the reconstruction of train stations & passenger rails.)
But paradoxically, did "blue collar" Joe just make an intricate health-care reform package more accessible to the "average Joe"?

To use Rick Jensen's usage of the word...we are now Bidened!
This was not a victory, it was our government ignoring the people for whom they work (not the other way around)

There was a time when you could look up to elected officals as being above the average citizen. Those days are long over. They have no better class.

Interesting... all you people going all "ebonics" in this discussion... did you have the same reaction when W would talk like an "average guy", or any of his famous "Bushisms"? Or did you applaud it and say, "See? He's a normal guy! I'd love to go have a beer with him!"
Hypocrites... one rule for your GOP cronies, another for the Dems.

...who is talking ebonics?
I myself enjoyed the many Bushisms of W43.
I actually miss W!
