Swiss broadcasting during WWII

For those of us who listened to international shortwave stations over our teen-aged years during the 1960's and '70's... Switzerland's overseas service (which became Swiss Radio International) was one of our favorite stations, with such programs as the "Swiss Shortwave Merry-Go-Round" with the two Bobs.

I still exchange e-mails with Bob Zanotti, a Swiss-American (New Jersey roots) who now offers his own excellent website... "Switzerland in Sound"... http://www.switzerlandinsound.com

As Switzerland gave up its external shortwave broadcasting, Swiss Radio International morphed into Swiss Info.

If you share my memories of Swiss external broadcasting, you may want to check out this article on the Swiss Info site about Swiss external broadcasting, particularly during World War II....
