Beleaguered defense industry loses influence on Capitol Hill
POLITICO.com has a fascinating piece on how the nation's defense industry has lost significant influence on Capitol Hill as longtime defense champions are retired, have died, or are in jail, and some military contractors' favored candidates in the 2012 election cycle lost.
All the more reason why sequestration will hit the Pentagon and military contractors hard, with the resulting lost jobs...
They'll trash the military until the next terrorist attack. By then, we won't be able to defend ourselves.
