Fickle fans now adoring Blue Hens, Brock

It was just about a month ago that Delaware football fans were ready to bury the 2013 team and new head coach Dave Brock. It was as a result of ugly losses to Navy and Maine that dropped the Blue Hens to 4-2.

Today, they're singing the praises of Brock and the team, after a 32-31 win over Towson that came about because of 15 points in the final minute of play that included the game-winning two-point conversion. Reading the Blue Hen message boards is humorous...and if Delaware should fall to a good William and Mary team this week, I'm betting the tide will turn again.

I believe Brock has done a good job in his first season with a team that has good, but not great, talent. I don't believe Maine is 34 points better than Delaware and I also don't necessarily think the Hens are better than Towson...but those were the results on the field. And now with a 7-2 record, number 15 ranking, and back-to-back home games against William and Mary and Richmond and a season-ending road game against a fading Villanova team, it is entirely possible they could finish 10-2 and get a high seed in the playoffs.

Delaware fans won't know what to think!!

Nothing like a 24-10 loss the week after, to suck the wind out of the sails.... :(
