Column in The HILL on Senator Coons, the compromiser
The HILL's associate editor A.B. Stoddard has posted a column about Delaware's junior U.S. Senator, Chris Coons, as one of the key senators seeking compromise, certainly not on the social issues, but on more business-related legislation.
Of course, this is precisely what irritates liberals/progressives about Coons: Business-friendly hardly ever translates into consumer-friendly. Trying to cultivate and protect Delaware's corporate-friendly status (which does buffer Delaware from some of the taxation seen in other states, believe it or not!) is not necessarily in the interest of the average U.S. citizen.
