Why did YOU vote "NO?" Write your answer below.
I voted against the referendum because we don't know how much of this $17.5 Million Dollars is going for All-Day Kindergarten, because we have been Whacked with a 65% INCREASE in SCHOOL TAXES since 2000 and I don't believe the District has made their case for the need! I can understand maybe 4% annual average increases, but 65% over 6 years is OUTRAGEOUS!
The district really has to make their case for increases and I'm not convinced, especially with this New Initiative of you and I paying for All Day Kindergarten when I have seen NO study showing it improves High School Graduation rates or test scores...
