Island Not In The Sun
n The New York Islanders have not enjoyed seeing the black and orange.
The Flyers have the NHL's longest active win streak over a single team at 14 games
against the Islanders. The Flyers have won four straight this season. The Islanders have
only scored 23 goals in those 14 losses.
The Flyers are in position to reach the playoffs for a third straight season, with
strong play since Peter Laviolette was named coach in early December. Philadelphia also
has a four game winning streak going on home ice as it holds onto sixth place in the
East.
