MedExpress opens first walk-in health care center in Del.
Forget making an appoint, walk-in health care centers are popping up all over, and now there's yet another in Newark.
MedExpress has opened its doors with its first facility in the First State.
The center in Newark's Chestnut Hill Plaza can treat everything from the flu to broken bones.
"We can provide you with a limited range of laboratory services. We have an x-ray on site, and we also are able to provide oyu with certain medications that we dispense here within our facility," says Dan Gray, Area Manager for MedExpress.
Gray says the the Newark center is also very convenient, open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm.
"Injuries or illness doesn't happen on any particular schedule so when you find yourself in need of some immediate care, you can come into our walk-in center and be treated friendly by professionals, and get in and out in a pretty expedient fashion," says Gray.
MedExpress will be offering free flu shots for the next two week to celebrate its grand opening.
The company is also opening three more walk-in health care centers in Delaware, in New Castle, on Kirkwood Highway, and on Concord Pike, before the year's end.
The company currently operated more than 80 locations in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
