VIDEO: Caravel field hockey advances to state semi-finals

The Caravel Buccaneers defeated Wilmington Friends 1-0 despite being out shot 6-2 in the second round of the DIAA state tournament.

It was a scoreless first half, however,Friends' had multiple opportunities to take the lead.

It wasn't until the 2nd half when Caravel finally scored. Jessica Reynolds took advantage of one of only two penalty chances for the Bucs, getting by a defender and converting from mid-range.

That was the only score of the game, Caravel will take on top seeded Cape Henlopen Thursday.

The Quakers finished the 2012 season with a 12-3-1 record.
