Online kid porn suspects plead guilty in DE
A convicted sex offender and a middle and high school cafeteria worker plead guilty Wednesday to online exploitation of kids.
U.S. Attorney Charlie Oberly's office announced convicted offender Scott Rupert of Pottstown, PA, asked a federal agent posing online as a 14-year-old girl to meet him for sex.
When he's sentenced in April, Rupert, who was convicted of a similar offense and court-martialed in 2006 while he was in the Navy, will get at least a mandatory 20-year prison term followed by probation, and could get up to life behind bars.
Abraham Sacharow of Baltimore pled guilty to sending a video of his genitals to another agent posing as a 14-year-old girl after contacting the fictitious teen in a Yahoo chat room, friending the Fed on Facebook and sending numerous sexually-explicit messages, one of which included an offer to buy the "girl" a web cam.
Sacharow could get up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years probation, and will have to register as a sex offender.
