VIDEO: Salesianum hoops downs Mt. Pleasant
Dante DiVincenzo led the way for Salesianum Thursday night, in the Sals' dominating 67-46 over Mount Pleasant.
The Sals got the lead early and never gave it up taking a 16-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, and a 35-19 lead into half. DiVincenzo and Nick Perugino were huge for the Sals getting to the rim at will. The Sals' quick passes kept Mt. Pleasant moving side to side to side all night.
The third quarter was when Mt. Pleasant made their only significant move of the game, cutting the lead to 7 when Elijah Scott pulled up for a 12 foot jump shot along the sideline. However 2 turnovers later, the Sals were back up by double digits, eventually extending the lead to 20.
The Sals win their opener, and will take on Howard Saturday at 1pm. Mt. Pleasant drops to 1-1 and will take on Dickinson next Tuesday at 5:30.
