Gold alert issued for Wilmington man State police have issued a gold alert for a missing Wilmington man. Police say 52-year-old Joseph Scarpone hasn't been seen since leaving the Delaware Psychiatric Center around 5:35 p.m. Friday. He's described as white, 5'11 tall, with gray hair and hazel eyes, wearing a blue and white striped hat, black sunglasses, a dark gray shirt, a black leather coat, and black jeans. Police say his medical condition is such that there's a concern for his safety. Anyone with information on Scarpone's whereabouts can contact state police or CrimeStoppers.
