VIDEO: Concord falls in 'Classic' finale Matt Alden scored a game-high 18 points as William Tennent of Pennsylvania wrapped up the Concord Classic with a 51-49 victory over Concord Monday night. Alden hit a pair of three pointers in the opening quarter to push the Panthers (6-11) off to an 11-6 lead. Concord went on an 11-1 run late in the opening half to take their largest lead of 26-21 before Tennent ended knotted the game at 26 at the break. The Raiders led 35-34 after three quarters, and it was 46-46 late, but the visitors did just enough for the win. Horace Spencer, who narrowly missed opening the game with a Dwight Howard-like throwing slam dunk that caught the back rim finished with 13 points. William Chapman led the Raiders (7-6) with 15 points. |
