Teens accosted in New Castle A couple of New Castle County teens crash their car in an effort to escape muggers Monday night. Two unknown men approached a parked car in Garfield Park around 7:30 p.m., demanding the 16- and 18-year olds inside fork over their possessions. One of the suspects was carrying a handgun. The driver managed to place the car in reverse after being assaulted by the men. The car drove over a median and ran into a light pole and parked car. The two suspects fled on foot empty-handed. Police used canines and canvassed the surrounding neighborhood but turned up nothing. One of the teens sustained a minor injury from the incident. |
