Women report robberies at 2 Delaware motels State Police are investigating two armed robberies of women at two Newark-area motels. Police say the first robbery happened about 1 a.m. Saturday at the Comfort Inn on Concord Lane in Newark. A woman and a male suspect had apparently contacted each other through an online social network and arranged a meeting. The suspect met the victim in her motel room, displayed a handgun and demanded money. Police say the woman complied, and the suspect fled. In the second incident, two women arranged a similar meeting at 1:45 a.m. with the same suspect at the Econo Lodge on McIntosh Plaza in Newark. Again, the suspect met the women in their motel room, displayed a gun and demanded money. The victims complied, and the suspect fled. |
