VIDEO: Newark upsets A.I. duPont Shikei Blake and Jahsun Greer both scored 16 points as Newark picked up an important Flight A home victory over A.I. duPont 66-62 Thursday night. Newark handed A.I. just their second loss of the season thanks to a solid first half that put them ahead 30-24 at halftime. The Tigers closed the gap, eventually knotting the game at 48 early in the fourth quarter on a Braxton Watson three-pointer. The Yellowjackets (10-5) would not be denied however, as Greer hit a driving layup and a three-pointer to give his team a much-needed victory. Braxton Watson scored 20 points and Vadil Long added 15 for the Tigers (12-2). |
