'Home Alone' case leads to arrest of Newark mom
A 'home alone' case lands a Newark woman in trouble with the law.
Police say Catherine Allex wasn't home when police went to her residence at 815 North Country Club Drive on Tuesday evening.
Officers found two children there, a 10-year-old and an 11-year-old, both boys, who said only that Allex was at work.
Allex's whereabouts were unknown for more than a day, but police arrested her as she was walking to her house late Wednesday night with two other kids in tow.
She's charged with endangering the welfare of a child and is free on $2,000 bail.
Her kids are in state custody. Her home has been condemned.
