LA man charged with 2006 Newark rapes

A Louisiana man faces charges in two separate rapes in Newark more than six years ago.

Police have charged John Thomas with the October 2006 rapes of a 19-year-old and 20-year-old women, both who were asleep inside their homes when Thomas allegedly raped them.

In August of 2012, Thomas was sentenced to 12 years in prison for an attempted rape in Louisiana, but an extradition order has brought him back to Delaware.

He's being held on $250,000 bail.
