Woman gets 20 years for killing ex-boyfriend
A woman who fatally stabbed her ex-boyfriend after he told her they were not getting back together has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Forty-nine-year-old Sherry M. Jackson had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Theodore Tucker. She was sentenced on Friday.
Tucker's body was found June 18 by staff at the Riverview Motel. He had been dead for several days.
Prosecutors said Jackson had been convicted of assaulting Tucker in 2008 when she stabbed him in the hand.
