Taste summetime peach sweetness in a glass
A Sussex County farm has the perfect summer drink you can serve up this summer, that is if you're over age 21.
WDEL's Amy Cherry explains.
If you like TS Smith & Sons Black Twig hard apple cider than winemaker Matt Cimino says you'll absolutely love the all new Blazing Stars hard cider.
"The peach flavor is much more forward in the Blazing Star than you get in the apple flavor of the Black Twig," says Cimino.
Cimino runs Great Shoals Winery in Maryland and teams up with the Bridgeville farm to make the summer sweetness.
"They asked us to consider featuring one of their early season apples, the Ginger Gold as well as try to feature some of their delicious peaches," says Cimino.
Charlie Smith, co-owner of TS Smith & Sons hasn't even tasted it yet, but already knows it will be a big hit.
"Our customers are wanting something like this so we started with the Black Twig hard apple and it's been very popular," he says.
Next on tap for the dynamic duo...
"They're cultivating cherries and some strawberries planted so we'll see what the future holds," says Cimino.
