Mike Castle named to DSU Board of Trustees

Mike Castle is joining the Board of Trustees at Delaware State University.

The former Governor and Congressman was appointed by Governor Markell Thursday, and succeeds Dr. Calvin Wilson, whose six-year term expired last August.

During 40 years in public office, Castle served a number of elected positions--most notably as a two-term governor and nine-term congressman.

His political career came to an end in 2010 after he lost to Christine O'Donnell in a Republican primary for the 2010 special election for U.S. Senate.

Castle will serve a six-year term on the board.
