The jazz world converges on Wilmington

Starting Wednesday and running through Saturday, the sounds of jazz will fill the air in downtown Wilmington.

Ken Briscoe, director of communications and cultural affairs for the city, says it gets underway at 6 p.m. with the Benny Golson Quartet, then at 8 p.m.

"We have a trumpet summit. Randy Brecker, Dave Douglas, Eddie Henderson and Riley Mullins. They're going to all perform Clifford Brown renditions and some really good selections for the crowd."

Other artists at this year's festival include Jessy J, Pedro Martinez and JD3 to name a few.
