2 bodies recovered from plane crash in OCMD
Maryland State Police have recovered two bodies from a Sunday plane crash in Ocean City.
Police divers recovered both bodies from the wreckage of the crash in the water off 130th Street in Ocean City.
Eyewitness Linda Hovel said it happened around 4:00 p.m. Sunday near 130th street in North Ocean City, Maryland, about one mile from the Delaware state line.
"It was a plane that came and was doing a spiral downward," said Hovel, who was laying on the beach when she saw the crash. "It kept coming down, and down, and down and all of sudden, we were like no way!"
Both bodies are being transported by a US Coast Guard vessel to a location for a preliminary forensic examination and attempts to identify the victims.
The bodies will now be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsies.
