OSHA's warning to workers outside

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has a special warning this week for those who make their living outdoors.

OSHA Wilmington area Acting Director Lon Sullivan says the forecast around Wilmington is such that those outside for long periods of time need to take extra precautions.

"OSHA has set up an OSHA Heat Safety Tool which is on OSHA's website that employers and employees can look at and it gives them advice and education so they know the risks."

He says two key elements to staying safe outside in such extreme conditions are drinking lots of water and taking periodic breaks away from the sun.
