Crude is being rude: gas prices jump 17 cents in Delaware
Crude is being rude.
Gas prices in Delaware have jumped 17 cents this week, now averaging $3.67 a gallon.
Triple A Mid-Atlantic says the higher cost of crude oil is pushing gas prices higher. Spokesman Jim Lardear says experts believe gas prices will range from $3.45 to $3.75 per gallon this summer, with the high end of that range quickly approaching and maybe topping the 2013 peak price of $3.79 per gallon reached back in February.
The highest price for gas in Delaware is in Delaware City at $3.85. Delmar has the lowest at $3.55. Wilmington's average is $3.69. The national average is $3.67, up 12 cents.
