Red Clay breaks world record for tallest LEGO tower

Red Clay breaks the world record for the tallest LEGO tower.

The LEGO Tower stands at just over 112 feet and is comprised of 500-thousand plastic LEGO bricks. It weighs more than one ton.

The final piece -- Red Clay's little red schoolhouse logo -- was placed atop the tower via crane last night (Monday night), when the record was officially broken.

This marks the first time the record wasn't broken by the LEGO company or another country. The previous 107 foot record was held by Prague.
