VIDEO: Blue Hens looking to rebound against Wagner Saturday
University of Delaware head football coach Dave Brock says the 51-7 loss to Navy was a tale of two halves...although the Blue Hens had enough failures the entire game to make the defeat certain.
Brock says the team played decently against Navy's vaunted running game...but they were burned by a passing game they weren't expecting to see.
He also said he was disappointed in the offense...they moved the football but couldn't make anything happen once they got into Navy territory.
So now its on to Wagner, an FCS school that is 1-2 with losses to Division 2 Merrimack and Division 1 Syracuse.
Brock says this game is just as important to his team as Navy, and their goal each week is to go 1-0.
Brock says Wagner will give them a lot of different looks on offense, although they have struggled throwing the ball this season. Quarterback Matt Misley is completing just 53 per cent of his passes for just 104 yards per game, with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Delaware will likely be without defensive lineman Logan Schultz for the rest of the season due to an upper body injury.
Delaware will play Wagner for the first time ever...they'll kick off at 6pm on Saturday at Delaware Stadium in the Blue hens final non-conference game of the year...after that, JMU starts a string of 8 CAA games that runs the rest of the season.
