Man ticketed after being hit by car
A Newark man is hit with a ticket...after being hit by a car.
Wilmington police say the man was hit while crossing the street at 11th and Washington Streets around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
But police say the man crossed despite the pedestrian signal being red...so he was cited for disregarding a pedestrian signal. He's now in stable condition at Christiana Hospital.
The driver of the car wasn't charged for the accident, but was cited for driving without a valid license and for not having proof of insurance.
