Ghostly experiences at Wilmington golf course
Some spooky things are going on at a Wilmington golf course and you're invited to come see for yourself.
WDEL's Mellany Armstrong reports.
Dave Green has worked at the Delcastle Golf Club on McKennan's Church Road for 25 years and has experienced several events.
"One night I was vacuuming here and I turned the vacuum off and I went to move a chair, and all of a sudden the vacuum came on by itself. And also, when I'm in the kitchen cooking, you can see, like, shadows going by and you go back into the hallway and there's nothing there," Green said.
The land was the site of a prison in the early 1900s. The Delcastle staff called in the Society of Paranormal Research & Education to check things out. Director Darlene Link says you can come be a part of the next investigation.
"We like to have the public participate in those experiments so that if anything does happen, obviously they are a part of that, just more hands-on," she said.
The society is holding ghost hunts at the golf club October 12th and October 19th. The cost is $27 a person. Get more information by clicking here.
