Tornado Watch in effect
A tornado watch remains in effect until 5 p.m. Monday as the remnants of tropical rainstorm Karen make her way up the East Coast.
AccuWeather's Danielle Knittle tells WDEL a line of strong thunderstorms is heading our way.
"We're going to be looking for that line of some strong storms here working their way in, some very heavy downpours, and perhaps even some damaging wind gusts here - the concern with the initial round of rain that arrives, and then I think, once that initial push goes through, we'll be left with some steady, perhaps locally heavy rainfall up until about 5-6 o'clock this (Monday) evening," says Knittle.
The storm is expected to bring temperatures for Wilmington back to normal for October with highs in the upper sixties and low seventies.
