Sunday Breakfast Mission needs 35 tons of food
There is a huge need for food at the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington as the holidays draw closer.
Reverend Tom Laymon says they're looking to collect 35 tons of food to handle demand for food baskets later this month.
He says a list of what they need is on paper bags that have gone out in local newspapers.
"Find that grocery bag and fill it up with all the things that are on the outside, the list is on the outside, and take it into your local WSFS."
Laymon says the goal is to collect enough food that 1,600 families can take home baskets averaging about 50 pounds apiece on the 25th and 26th of this month.
