Dogs and cats strut their stuff in fashion show
It's a cocktail party in which the dogs are dressed to the nines.
WDEL's Mellany Armstrong reports.
"Kind of out-of-the-ordinary, not your typical cocktail party."
Haute dogs and feline fashionistas are walking the runway this weekend in a unique fundraiser - the Delaware SPCA's Canines on the Catwalk. Christina Motoyoshi of the SPCA says pets will appear in tuxes and fancy dresses.
"There going to have cute outfits on and we're going to tell people about their story," she said. "Many of these animals came from neglectful situations or they were homeless."
Dogs and cats will be available for adoption. The event celebrates the SPCA's 140 years in Delaware. The money raised will fund its adoption program, low-cost spay/neuter programs and humane law enforcement. See a picture of Sophie in her outfit and get more information by clicking here.
