DSU suspends all band activities amid hazing investigation
Delaware State University suspends all band activities for the rest of the school's fall semester pending an investigation into allegations of hazing.
School spokesman Carlos Holmes says DSU has standards and if the allegations are true, "they're unacceptable."
Holmes wouldn't describe the alleged hazing incidents, but says their investigation is ongoing and began more than a week ago.
He says enough information had been obtained to prompt officials to suspend all band activities until the investigation is concluded.
The suspension affects about 150 students in all performance groups, including the marching band, jazz ensemble, concert and pep bands.
