Parents ask for help in finding shooter in teen son's death
A New Castle teen's parents ask the public to help them find the person who shot their son to death over the weekend.
Kendelynn and Wayne Green are mourning their 16-year-old son, D'Andre, after he was shot during a high school party near Newark Saturday. Wayne tells NBC10 he is asking those who were there to help find the shooter.
"Our son is never coming home. Just imagine if you were never coming home, you would want someone to look out for you, so look out for our baby," he said.
Police were called to the 900 block of Marrows Road shortly before midnight Saturday, where they found DAndr’e wounded outside the Brookside Community Center. He later died at Christiana Hospital.
Police say they were unable to locate any suspects but will continue to conduct interviews, collect evidence, and attempt to uncover a motive for the shooting.
