Two shot in Wilmington Sunday
A 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were shot in Wilmington on Sunday, capping a violent weekend in the city that also included a murder and another shooting.
It happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the 500 block of E. Fifth Street, outside the Bethel Villa apartment complex on the city's East Side, police said.
The victims were loading a vehicle on the block when at least one person began shooting. Police said the teenager was shot in the back and the man was struck in the back, arm and leg.
Both victims were taken to Christiana Hospital, where the boy was in critical condition and the man was listed as stable, police said.
No suspects have been identified by police and the investigation is ongoing.
Since the New Year began last week, six people have been shot in Wilmington, two of whom died from their injuries.
