Sunday storm downgraded to light weekend snowfall
After dealing with snow and ice for weeks, Delawareans may breathe a sigh of relief after hearing the weekend forecast.
AccuWeather's Danielle Knittle says the big storm that was forecasted for Sunday will start earlier and be much less severe.
"The best chance (for snow) is going to be during the afternoon hours and into tomorrow evening to see that very light snowfall around the area and then heading into Sunday with that second wave, again, still looks very light, you know, again, very small in terms of accumulation amounts here for the area, a better chance, again, for the afternoon and perhaps heading into Sunday night," Knittle says.
Knittle says snowfall will likely accumulate to just under a half-inch, making shoveling driveways and keeping the roads clear much easier tasks than in recent weeks.
