Kenton co. expands Listeria recall to sour cream
A Kenton company at the center of a nationwide Listeria outbreak has expanded their recall.
Roos Food is now recalling Crema Pura Mexicana Cultured Sour cream, issued on February 23rd, in addition to a cheese recall. Listeria-tainted cheese killed one person in California and sickened several in Maryland.
Roos says no Listeria was found in the sour cream products, but recent tests show bacteria at the Kenton factory.
Customers and retailers are being asked to destroy the products immediately.
