Charges dismissed in fatal shooting of grandfather
The state Attorney General's Office says charges have been dropped against a teenager accused of shooting his 84-year-old grandfather.
Prosecutors said Wednesday that assault and gun charges against 17-year-old John Rash were dropped without prejudice. Jason Miller, spokesman for the attorney general's office, says charges could be brought after further investigation.
Police say Rash and his grandfather, Charles Semans, were arguing in their Camden-Wyoming home on May 26 when Rash grabbed a shotgun and shot Semans.
Authorities say Semans died three days later, but new charges were not brought against Rash.
