Pres. Obama visiting Delaware next week

President Obama is stopping in Wilmington on his way to New York City Thursday.

Currently, his public schedule only shows him attending a fundraiser Thursday night in New York.

But sources tell WDEL a White House advance team was at the Port of Wilmington Thursday to discuss security details. The President will speak on highway infrastructure improvements and the currently closed I-495 bridge that's being repaired with federal funds.

The visit is President Obama's first to Delaware since 2010 when he campaigned for Senator Chris Coons at the Grand Opera House.
