Hagley Museum
Hagley Museum is where the du Pont story begins in the Brandywine Valley and features the original du Pont mills, estate and gardens. The museum opened in 1957 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. Hagley extends over 235 acres along the Brandywine River. Exhibits and demonstrations bring this important chapter in American history to life. Hagley tells the story of the people who worked for the du Pont Company in the nineteenth century, how they lived, and how their lifestyles changed during a century in tune with new machinery and new production methods in the workplace. This summer, visit Hagley and enjoy the shaded walking trails by the Brandywine, family programs, and special offers. For more information call (302) 658-2400 or visit:
