WDEL's Carl Kanefsky explains.Video Here

At first glance, room 114 at the Marriott Courtyard Newark looks like any other hotel room, but after a little time, you might feel like you're in George Jetson's apartment.

From the LCD screen connected to a digital video camera that instantly lets guests know who is outside the door, to the color digital touch screen that controls the temperature, lighting and radio, travelers will get to try out the latest gadgets and gizmos.

Cihan Cobanoglu, an Associate Professor at the University, says students who work at the hotel will get hands on experience with the future of the industry.

The room also features an air-powered showerhead and an ionic hair dryer help to save water and energy usage, a flat screen high definition TV, a computer with high speed internet access.

Managing Director Bill Sullivan says because the room is full of the latest technological gadgets, it's constantly changing.

And forget missing a morning meeting because of the snooze button...The room has an alarm clock that jumps off the nightstand and rolls around the floor, forcing you to get out of bed to turn it off.
