Gas prices affected by crude oil increases
By Jim Hilgen Share

With crude oil trading around the 80 dollar a barrel range, gas prices continue to climb.

According to Triple A Mid Atlantic Delaware motorists saw the price at the pump climb by an average of three cents a gallon last week.

The auto club reports the average cost of a gallon of unleaded regular was $2.69 statewide.

Spokesperson Jana Tidwell says the seasonal increase that traditionally accompanies Spring is expected to drive the cost of fueling up even higher in the coming weeks.

She says experts are predicting that the cost of gas will average $2.84 a gallon in 2010.
