Gas prices continue to climb
By Jim Hilgen Share

With crude oil trading at more than 80 dollars a barrel, area gas prices continue to rise.

Delaware motorists last week saw the price at the pump set a new high for the year.

According to Triple A Mid Atlantic the state wide average for a gallon of unleaded regular rose six cents by week's end to $2.75.

Spokesperson Jana Tidwell says increasing demand, and the coming spring and summer driving season mean motorists can expect to see gas prices continue to climb.

She says the prices recorded this week are the highest seen in 18 months.
